A PATH FULL OF OPPORTUNITIES

I love to contemplate and seek to understand the grace of God. I believe that no one in this life can claim to fully comprehend the grace of God because it is inexhaustible, surpassing even the abundance of sin in this world. It surprises us each day, manifesting in every person. Imagine, for example, the reaction of the early church upon witnessing the conversion of Paul. While the story is familiar, we often overlook its profound significance. However, he was a man who murdered Christians and hated them deeply in his heart for preaching Jesus. Only the grace of God could redeem such a sin, and only the boundless love of God could forgive a man whose pride was to kill friends, make them suffer and torture those who were sure of the Truth of Salvation. Only Jesus could perform such a miraculous act of grace, wiping the slate clean dictate and making the hearts of Christians who had lost their loved ones, friends, brethren in the faith make Pablo part of their community through the inexhaustible love of Christ.

This week, I was struck by reading a verse,

"But when God, who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me by his grace, was pleased." Galatians 1.15 NIV

Yes, this is written by Paul speaking of his call, talking about aspects of his history to the Galatians. He says that God set him apart even from his mother's womb, that is, before his birth. Undoubtedly, THE PARAMETERS OF GOD SEEM NOT TO MAKE SENSE. My reasoning (as surely that of many of you) assumes that if God consecrated him before being born, then he is supposed to live in line with his call, that is, to live according to the divine plan. However, while it is true that he studied under Gamaliel, he persecuted the church. Undoubtedly, in the context of human reasoning, this discrepancy remains unclear. However, in God's plan of boundless grace and infinite love, everything becomes clear.

Never give up on your call. God has a plan for each one of us, even before birth. No matter your family context, no matter your past or your present circumstances, just trust in Him. If God has called you, He will fulfill His promise according to His timing and His standards, not ours or those of others. Don't let discouragement hinder your calling; there is still a long way to go, full of opportunities. However, it's also crucial to remember not to condemn or label those around us, because God is always ready to give them the opportunity for living for Him, no matter how "serious" or "unforgivable" their sins may seem to us.

There are many people who cannot move forward because they were tied to the past, because they could not forgive themselves, but neither could they be forgiven and experience God's grace. Who am I not to give them another chance? Let's extend the chance to experience the grace and love of Christ to everyone. God's plan for your life began before your birth, and today you have the opportunity to allow God to use you and pose new challenges each day. You have a long journey ahead.
