BEING A MISSIONARY IN TIMES OF COVID-19

Dear friends and readers,
We celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ. HE LIVES!
Happy Easter!
It's wonderful to connect with you once again through this platform. We have so much to share with you.
A few weeks ago, we found ourselves wondering whether God had led us to Spain at the right time. Let us open our hearts to you: God is never mistaken. We are convinced that He brought us here in due time.
Let me share our experiences over the past month of confinement at home, here in the north of Madrid.
This period of quarantine has been a blessing, providing us with the opportunity to seek God more fervently and meditate on His Word.
We are taking advantage of technology tools, which have proven invaluable during this time. Our online meetings on the ZOOM platform include discipleship sessions, allowing us to connect virtually with people. We contribute through music, teaching, and also create devotional videos, which are shared via WhatsApp with the Church group.
Regarding daily life, it's hard not to be affected by the news. We lift up prayers for those who are affected and for the families who have lost someone during this pandemic.
Every day at 8 pm in Spain, we join our neighbors in applauding the healthcare personnel from our balconies, expressing our gratitude for their tireless efforts in the battle against the coronavirus. It's a great opportunity to connect and share with them.
A few days ago, the Civil Guard surprised us by singing 'Happy Birthday' to an 8-year-old boy using their loudspeakers. He is a member of a family residing just across from our house. It was so exciting to see the joy on his face. We all joined in to extend our congratulations.
We must be honest with you. We really want to go out, to hug and share with people. However, it's a time to stay home, focusing on the most precious gift God has given us: our family.
We express our gratitude for your constant prayers and messages, reminding us that we are in your thoughts. That reminds us that we are not alone, that you are with us. We keep you very present in our prayers.
Sending love and hugs from a distance
Lots of love,
Gaby & Mimi
