CONGRATULATIONS!

09/15/2021

I'm not sure if it's because we live more than 640 meters above sea level, but we feel the sky closer, the clouds bigger, the sun stronger, the temperatures higher, and the days longer, signaling the approach of summer in Madrid.

Between you and me, I must confess that I haven't quite got used to the dry heat yet. It's different from the humid summers in Buenos Aires, but I suppose I'll adapt gradually. However, we're grateful that the temperature drops at night due to the coolness of the Madrid mountains.

On another note, because I don't want to bore you with climate and adaptation issues, we have some news to share:

The first and one of the most important pieces of news is that since May of this year, we have taken on the Pastorate of the Church of Sendero de la Cruz, located 32km north of Madrid, in San Agustín de Guadalix (the town where we have lived since we arrived in Spain).

Throughout this year, we have been working as a support ministry, learning, getting used to everything, getting to know the families, and vice versa.

The truth is, we are incredibly happy about the challenge ahead of us. We are experiencing a wonderful time when God is working miracles in people's lives. They are drawing closer to Jesus, and families are attending because their children are delighted with the activities prepared for them. We feel blessed to have this opportunity to serve in this town we love so much.

Another piece of news we'd like to share with you is that during the first few days of March, we attended the ADE Convention (Asambleas de Dios de España) virtually, where our ministerial credentials with the UAD (Unión de las Asambleas de Dios) were validated. This is another step forward in all that lies ahead.

We continue to visit a town called El Molar, where we gather at Bar de Javi, on Tuesdays and Fridays. These are special times when we can connect with other people, pray for them, and witness God at work in their lives. We've had the opportunity to give away Bibles, and some individuals have accepted Jesus as their Savior. We are overjoyed that people can receive the greatest gift: Salvation.

These past months have been incredibly intense, filled with hard work, visits, meetings, and experiencing all the new things God has in store for this season. There were challenging days, and you're aware of that, but God has always supported us. His promises have sustained us. We are deeply grateful that you are a part of this, remembering us in your prayers, contributing to the project, and sending tokens of affection.

We pray for our country and you, trusting that God will continue to take control of every situation, including the pandemic.

We believe that there is HOPE for our future, and our HOPE is in Jesus.

Take heart and let's go all out! 🇪🇸

Lots of love,

Gaby & Mimi
