NOT ALL SPANISH ARE “GALICIANS”

12/09/2018

"Not all Spaniards are not "Galicians". In Argentina, generally when we want to refer to a Spaniard, we say "Galician". However, only those who live in the Community of Galicia are called that way.

Spain, also known as the Kingdom of Spain, is a transcontinental country and a member of the European Union. It is constituted as a social and democratic State of law, with a parliamentary monarchy as its form of government. Its territory, with its capital in Madrid, is organized into seventeen autonomous communities and two autonomous cities, which are further divided into fifty provinces.

Let's familiarize ourselves with the communities of Spain and their inhabitants to avoid making the same mistake again. I will now share with you the following list:

DEMONYM OF THE 17 SPANISH COMMUNITIES

Andalusia: Andalusian.

Aragon: Aragonese.

Asturias: Asturian.

Canary Islands: Canarian.

Cantabria: Cantabrian, Mountainous.

Balearic Islands: Balearic.

Castilla-La Mancha: Castilian-Manchegan.

Castilla y León: Castilian-Leonese.

Catalonia: Catalan.

Extremadura: Extremaduran.

Galicia: Galician.

La Rioja: Riojan.

Madrid: Madrilenian, Matritense.

Now, we are in the Community of Andalusia, Province of Malaga and the town hall of Estepona. We want to ask you to keep the Andalusian present in their prayers.

Soon, we will share with you the different towns that do not have a church, so we may continue to pray for the laborers. Let us pray for pastors and missionaries to be raised up to preach the gospel.
