ONE-WAY TICKET

05/04/2020

That's all we had: just a one-way ticket.

On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, in Buenos Aires, the temperature soared above 35 degrees Celsius. Our entire lives were condensed into just a few suitcases that we carried with us to the airport.

The moment had arrived to surrender everything for Jesus and live according to His call.

At the airport, as we checked in for our flight, we were overcome with mixed emotions. We could not help crying about leaving our land, the land where we had grown up the land of "mate", barbecue, and "dulce de leche". Yet, there was a profound sense of joy in witnessing the fulfillment of God's promises in our lives. Despite moments when His promises seemed impossible or were shrouded in uncertainty, His timing proved to be perfect. He had prepared our lives and hearts for that very moment.

While thousands of miles high, I was reflecting on Hebrews 11:8, which reads: "By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going."

Abraham, too, had a one-way ticket. His obedience not only blessed his own life but also all his descendants, because obedience to God our obedience to God is not about us but also about others, those who need the blessing of Jesus in their lives.

After a few hours of flight, we finally arrived in Spain, the land of promise.

We are filled with joy, knowing that many of you are praying for us.

In the days to come, we will share more about our experiences in this country.

See you soon,
