STEP 1 -EXPLORATORY TRIP

¡When God makes a promise, He keeps it!

Last year, as we were making plans for 2018, it was our intention for Gaby to undergo Missionary Formation School, and God had stirred within our hearts the idea of an exploratory trip to Spain.

Initially, the prospect of making the journey seemed impossible due to the significant financial burden it entailed, which we could not afford. However, while we were studying, God confirmed that Spain was indeed the destination where we should travel. I must admit, though, that my faith often wavered.

My husband and I had faced challenging financial periods before, and once again, God was testing our faith.

We embarked on a small tour of the churches. I cooked and sold lemon puddings. Despite the little sleep and considerable efforts, we remained steadfast, knowing God was paving the way for us. We witnessed God's faithfulness in everything.

And as God keeps his promises, we were able to travel through Estepona, located in the province of Málaga.

Throughout the month, we supported the Santos family, Argentinian missionaries in Spain since 1999.

Our efforts were focused on three churches of Cristo Vive: Estepona, San Pedro, and Tesorillo. We spent quality time with the pastors and congregations. We learned a little more about the culture and the challenges inherent in planting churches in Spain.

We had the opportunity to connect with other Argentine missionaries across Europe, and learned everything we could from them.

We came to realize that there are many towns without churches and that there is a pressing need for pastors. Spain is a beautiful land but a land of considerable idolatry .

Being in the mission field requires steadfast prayer; atheism is frequent. However, witnessing how God ministered to hearts during this time proved to be even more powerful.

We understand that God has a purpose for Spain and why he has ingrained this nation in our hearts.

We love Spain, and that's where we want to live. That's why for us LOVING "MOLA" and serving "mola" ("Mola" is a slang term used to convey the idea of something being cool, awesome, or enjoyable).
