WHERE IS YOUR HEART?

The night was enchanting in Estepona, and there was a gentle summer breeze. We were on our way back to the house with our compatriot Gonzalo, who was hosting us. The time had passed midnight, yet the orchestra echoed from about ten streets away. It came from the Church of the Virgen de los Remedios. Wednesday, August 18, was a holiday in Spain in honor of the Assumption of the Virgin.
As we drew closer, the music became more intense: It was the procession of the Virgin. I was awestruck. I couldn't count the number of men carrying the Virgin on their shoulders (known as costaleros). I could not believe the devotion they have for the virgins. I had seen it in Spanish films, but being there was completely different. Everyone was adoring her. That was when, once more in my heart, I said yes to Spain and yes to leave everything, because everyone needs Christ.
This is what AMAR MOLA is about—loving God with all our hearts and loving people. And that is what we want to do. We are prepared for anything, because they need to worship the One True God, who deserves all praise.
"Therefore God exalted him to the highest placeand gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2: 9-11.
